Is this thing on?

Professionals are meant to have websites right? Here goes nothing!

I decided I wanted to make a game at the end of my second year of university. Seeing as I had a whole lot of nothing glaring down at me in the form of the summer break, I decided to start learning there and then. Dungeons of Damocles came about for a few reasons, but mainly because it just seemed fun. Furthermore, it seemed relatively simple. Oh, my sweet summer child, what a fool you are.

Undeterred by the ever growing insanity I was experiencing whilst trying to learn to code as I made a game— not my wisest of decisions— I persisted, and by the end of summer I had a technically working prototype, in that you could start the game, kill stuff, gain points, and die. I’ve continued to build upon this rather meagre footing as university recommenced, and have found 4 new and exciting ways for the brains to leak from the ears. Fun!

I jest, for I am actually am quite proud of what I’ve achieved. Dungeons of Damocles is shaping up to be a blast. I hope you’ll join me for the ride.

Cheers,

Ben
